Inspection & test methods

Six layers between a counterfeit and your board.

Performed in-house or at ISO/IEC 17025-accredited partner laboratories, following AS6171 test methods where specified.

External Visual Inspection

High-magnification review of markings, leads, surface texture and packaging against manufacturer references.

X-Ray Inspection

Die, lead-frame and bond-wire comparison across the lot to reveal mixed or re-marked parts.

XRF Analysis

Lead finish composition testing to confirm RoHS status and detect re-tinned or refurbished leads.

Decapsulation

Die exposure and verification of manufacturer logo, part identification and die revision.

Electrical Testing

Curve-trace and functional or parametric testing against the datasheet at room or temperature extremes.

Solderability & Marking Permanency

Resurfacing detection, heated solvent tests and solderability per J-STD-002.
